Shifeng Hong
Shifeng is from Huangshan, China. He earned his Bachelor of Engineering degree from Beijing Jiao Tong University (BJTU) and an Honors Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo, both in 2021. Shifeng joined the Archer group in 2021 as a M.S. student in the MSE department. During his master’s studies, he focused on the development of manganese-based cathode materials for aqueous zinc-ion batteries. He is currently a Ph.D. student in the Archer group, conducting research on sodium metal batteries, zinc-ion batteries, and metal-air batteries. He likes traveling, playing video games and Texas holdem.
