Trina is from Kolkata, India. She completed her B.Sc. in Chemistry Hons. and B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calcutta, followed by M.E. in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. She earned her Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITKGP) in 2024 under the supervision of Prof. Sunando DasGupta (IITKGP) and Prof. Partha P. Mukherjee (Purdue University). During her doctoral training, she worked on the interfacial facets relating to metal electrodeposition. In October 2024, she joined the group of Prof. Lynden Archer at Cornell as a postdoctoral researcher to work on rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries. In her free times, she loves drawing, reading poems and historical events, and singing.
